Mimi Xu has led a rather unconventional path. Raised in Paris where she studied classical piano as a child, Mimi spent her early childhood in Shanghai before moving to Copenhagen and Paris. She then went on to live in Sydney for few years after finishing a law and journalist degree before returning to Europe where she lives now. At an early age, Mimi was exposed to classical and experimental music as her father, a well known French acoustic architect who frequently collaborated with musicians and composers such as Pierre Boulez and Seiji Ozawa. After working in music labels for few years in Sydney and Paris, Mimi moved to London where she launches Mimi Xu Studio. Head of a dynamic team, the studio works on original scores, sound design and music programming. Besides the studio, Mimi works on stage art projects where she creates live performances through various collaborations.
