Belgian born photographer Serge Leblon is a master of cinematic feeling for color and lights. Leblon offers a distinctive photographic narrative of contemporary life that is at once unsparing and tender, knowing yet mysterious.
Leblon comes from a cinematic background as he studied cinematography at “Insas” in Brussels. His work has been displayed in the exhibition at "ambiance" at the Kunstsammlung Nordheim-Westfalen Museum (Dusseldorf" , Archetype in Brussels, the Museum of New Art in Detroit, the millenium of mode in Tokyo, la Bank Gallery in Paris, Spike Gallery in NY and most recently at the exhibition "icon of modernism" at the Bauhaus to celebrate its 80th anniversary in Dessau Germany.
Leblon has produced films such as "Stranger than fiction" ,"Dead on the beach" and "Rio". His award wining monograph "serge leblon" was published by base (2000). He also issued a fashion monography in 2015 simply named “Fashion”.
Leblon has shot numerious album covers for musicians such as Jarvis Cocker, Goldfrapp and Lily Allen.
