Japan-born Yasuda’s passion for nail art began when she was 11 years old, watching the talent and creativity of her grandmother who was a kimono tailor. She attended Chunichi Beauty School before moving to New York City in 2007. Yasuda is primarily a nail technician, and equally an artist. She custom handcrafts her own acrylics for her clients and never uses stencils, creating each nail with her expertise, talent, and innovation. She treats nails as her canvases and is inventive, creative and colourful with a prowess for accessories and detail.
She has built up a loyal following amongst some of the world's most recognizable faces including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Gigi Hadid, Rita Ora, and Amanda Lepore.
Yasuda is a fashion favourite. Her work has been photographed by industry greats such as Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Sorrenti, Mert and Marcus, Inez and Vinoodh, Ben Hassett, and Ellen von Unwerth. In 2016, her work was included in the exhibition Beauty – Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial at the prestigious Smithsonian Design Museum, highlighting her imperative role in the popularity of nail art.
For Naomi, no nail design is too extreme.
